About the Artist: Brady Black

Brady Black

Brady Black (he/him)

Brady is a self-taught artist specializing in public art and the creation of ‘community murals’ that shine a spotlight on marginalized communities. Born and raised in Texas, their artistic journey took shape on the vibrant streets of Beirut, Lebanon, where he witnessed firsthand the transformative power of art in uniting communities. His murals and installations have been created in Iraqi refugee camps, with victims of the Syrian Civil War, marginalized children in Mexico, and communities across the United States. In his art practice, he tries to tell other’s stories in a more direct and challenging way that is accessible in its rendering and execution and pushes us all towards empathy for “the other.”
