Seattle Black Panther Party Legacy Interpretive Center

The Black Panther Legacy Project is an interpretive and research center committed to preserving the legacy of The Black Panther Party and other freedom fighters who fought against racial oppression in the United States and beyond.

It’s a place for the visitors, students, scholars, and researchers to explore and learn of the expansive reach of the party, its history and influence, and other people-led movements through multimedia programming, walking tours, live performances, exhibits and more.

The center features:

  • Coaching, support, and a space for folks to gather and learn about past movements in order to build their own strategies to fight racism and stand up against all forms of oppression
  • Materials, writings, and artifacts connected to the Seattle Chapter of the Black Panther Party
  • Live storytelling from former comrades and how their lives have changed over the years
